These flags apply to every command. Where a flag has a second (aliased)
spelling, both names bind to the same value — the last one on the command line
wins. Precedence across sources is flag > env > config-file > default .

Root-only flags
--version / -V prints version information, but it is accepted only on the
root command — a2acli --version (or a2acli -V) works, while passing it to a
subcommand (e.g. a2acli send --version) fails with an “unknown flag” error.
Environment variables
Environment variables follow the pattern A2ACLI_<FLAG> (for example
A2ACLI_SERVICE_URL). These variables are honored when set; some, but not all,
also appear explicitly in --help output. Others follow the same pattern.
